Bumper Sticker #12

I’ve been reading a new book called White Trash, about the poor, uneducated, often unwashed in America, who lived on the edges of the spreading American nation and drew the disdain and condemnation of the powerful people, including the Founding Fathers, who dismissed them as so much, well, trash. For a long time they couldn’t even vote because they owned no land, and generation after generation floundered around at the bottom of our society (I do believe some of my relatives were among them). All of which taking place in a supposedly classless society, led me to this Bumper Sticker:

IS MONEY ALL YOU NEED TO KEEP THE COMMON PEOPLE DOWN?

Thoughts?
