After six thousand years of human warfare, what is it going to take to convince humanity to stand up, join hands and tell “the powers that be” that we’ve had enough? A lot of really intelligent people have already spent a lot of time thinking about it. One of them, surprisingly enough, was the great advocate of capitalism, Adam Smith. You most likely know the stats related to this, but one of them bears repeating: Money spent in the civilian economy creates at least twice as many jobs as money spent on the military. Here’s to a workforce that doesn’t have to go to war to earn a living.
